\nAbout the band:
\nMathieu Najean began his musical career by learning the classical bassoon in Angoul\u00eame, where he grew up. He also began playing jazz, a few years later on the tenor saxophone. He studied jazz saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
\nSince 2018, Mathieu Najean has been based in Paris, where he formed a septet to perform his compositions. In 2020, he released his first album under his own name. The album “Panorama” by the Mat Najean Jazz Band was well received by critics.
\nIn 2023, he released a second album of compositions, this time in collaboration with New York singer Cait Jones.
\nIn 2024, he released an album of quartet standards featuring vibraphonist Maxime Pr\u00e9bet as a guest.<\/p>\n

\n“The Jazz Lobby” is situated in the unique monumental\/art deco Kompaszaal, that used to be the waiting hall of the Dutch Kings Steam Shipping Company.
